Afrikaans TV Netwerk24 Channels are producing a second online video streaming soap, titled OP en Af ( up and down) written by Leon Kruger and produced by Jester production of Diaan Lawrenson and Jody Abrahams. The comedy show of 65 episodes will play out in day-to-day episode from 3 February 2020.
The cast encompasses Charlton George as André Mouton and Quanita Adams as his wife Bev who has been married, although Bev is concealing a private life, Neels van Jaarsveld as Frans du Plessis dabbles as a stockbroker, and Nadia Valvekens as Leande du plessis as an online blogger.

The soap character is about common people who are a slight bit unique and hold up a mirror, says Diaan Lawrenson. All the couples live in the same quarters and are seemingly a friend. Moreover, spectators later see that their interchange words are loaded with Jealousy and rivalry and sugar-coated with some rumour.
Netwerk24 editor Henriette Loubser, says “It’s clear that such instant viewing enjoyment in Afrikaans is a format that resounds with Netwerk24’s audience, the reaction to our first Soap, Die Testament, surpassed our expectations”.
Netwerk24 will roll out an episode of Op en Af as a 5-minute webisode with a new episode on weekdays at 8:00 between 3 February and the end of April 2020.
Izeller Venter, VIA channel boss, says “when we watched the first episodes and the actors felt complete like your friends on a Friday night we became really excited. We believe that Netwerk24 spectators will be just as excited over our new soap from the producer’s duo Diaan Lawrenson and Jody Abrahams”.
An episode of “Op en Af” will remain available on Netwerk24 indefinitely with subscriber who can watch a fresh episode every day or the omnibus over weekends. The full series of 65 episodes will be accessible to binge-watch.
