The Celebrity family, the Kardashians are making it easier for fans to keep up with their lifestyle through their reality TV show “Keeping up with the Kardashians (KUWTK)” despite the lockdown imposed by many countries, which have kept other reality shows on hold. Kris Jenner along with the other Kardashian family members are coming up with ways to show their fans what they desire to see.
During the early days of the pandemic, the family began to contemplate and brainstorm ideas that would enable them to continue filming and also ensure the health and safety of all the family members. Then it was decided that the family film the show themselves. But how could this be possible?
Initially, the idea of filming themselves looks simple enough, but with time it became obvious that changing from a recording crew to self-recording has been really tedious and has its challenges. For example, if a family member gets annoyed and walks out of the camera angle, they won’t be able to follow that person and continue shooting, the person has to come back on camera and explain the reason for their annoyance. This would have been easier if a recording crew were working on it, that way they can capture all the fun. But since it’s the Kardashians and they are entertaining regardless, it will be a fun watch for fans out there.
At first, Kim Kardashian (wife of Kanye West), Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian would record footage and then share it to an album, but this was not feasible since people are going to get sick of seeing low-quality footage. So something needs to be done. But what?
Plan B was initiated. They hired a director of photography and technician who put on precautionary suits and configured brightly – lit rooms in Kim’s monastery mansion and in Khloe’s home after which they set up tripods which are cleaned with sanitary wipes to prevent the transfer of germs. Also, the family had to wait for at least 24hours before entering the room to avoid any covid19 contamination.
Despite the difficulties, this new method of recording led to a new candour among the Kardashians which fans will be able to see.
The most intriguing is the introduction of new iPhones every week for recording purposes. In total, the Kardashians recorded around 16 hours of footage, although it varies by a family member. Kourtney is to record the least, while the mother of four Kim Kardashian West records the largest amount of footage from the West’s home, this footage includes Kim’s effort to teach her kids from home.
Furthermore, viewers will be able to witness how Khloe’s Ex Tristan Thompson showed a more mature side of himself during these hard times. With all these ideas in place, it is noteworthy that America’s biggest reality show KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS returns this September on the E! Television network.
