Liverpool brilliance in match day one
Yesterday at Anfield Liverpool showed their intentions for this season with a master class performance against new boys Norwich.
Liverpool who are currently the UEFA Champions defeated newly promoted side Norwich 4:1 at home.
Although Norwich might not be new to the premier league but they have been out for a while. Liverpool dominated the game and took the lead after a shot from Origi took a deflection from a Norwich defender Hanley.
M. Salah made it two after scoring a perfectly threaded pass from Brazilian forward Firmino in the 19th minute of the game. Liverpool made it three just nine minutes later when defender Van Dijk headed in a perfectly crossed corner kick from Salah.
Liverpool were not done yet as Origi made it 4 for the home team. He nodded in a perfectly timed cross from Alexander Arnold.
Norwich made a few impact in the game and it paid off in the 64th minutes.
Forward Pukki scored for the away team to make the match end at 4:1.
Norwich will have the likes of Chelsea and Manchester city to face in their first five games in the premier league.
Liverpool as it stands top the table with a +3 goals and Norwich at the bottom with a -3 goal.
It’s is sure that Liverpool after loosing last seasons tittle to Manchester city will do everything to put up an impressive display this season.
