Third Grand Canyon fatality in over a month


LA third Grand Canyon Park fatality over this month has been reported on Thursday after park rangers recovered the body of a 67-year-old man who fell 400 feet over the South Rim, according to authorities.

The man, whose name and nationality were not immediately made public, was recovered by the park’s technical staff and rescuers who used a helicopter to search for the body.

The park is one of the most visited places around the world that drew nearly 6.4 million tourists in 2018. It is also one of the deadliest attraction which reported 17 fatalities during the same year.

Earlier last week, a tourist had falling from over the edge of the rim while attempting to take pictures. A third fatality had also occurred in the same way.
