UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Tottenham vs Ajax
Tonight Tottenham will play host to Ajax of Amsterdam in their first leg of the Uefa champions league semi-final.
Tottenham currently third in the English premier league while Ajax tops the Dutch league table.
Tottenham qualified after defeating Manchester city. this match means a lot to Tottenham since they last appeared in this stage 57 years ago.
Ajax on the other hand qualified after defeating two strong opponents, current title holders Real Madrid and then Italian champions Juventus.
The two sides are currently in form but injuries seem to be of more concern to Tottenham than their opponent. Eriksen who is a former Ajax player will go against his former club today, while Tadic will go head to head against his former English language league rival during his stay at Southampton.
Both teams knows what is at stake and will do everything to win. Tottenham has not loosed any European competition on their new home ground. Ajax on the other hand are very good at causing problems away from their home.
However we look forward to a match filled with lots of pace and energy.
Can Tottenham repeat what they did against Manchester city or will they loose to Ajax who destroyed Real Madrid and Jeventus to make it to the semifinals.
